Australis AC ON TOUR Contouring and Highlighting Kit
It took forever to get my hands on this bad boy and after all that time I'm kind of sitting on the fence about this product. Some claim for it to be a dupe of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit yet some absolutely hate it. So when I finally got this into my possession, I was quite curious as to how I would find it.
It comes with six shades of powder, three for highlighting, three for contouring. The three highlighting powders consist of a matte pink toned shade, a matte yellow and a shimmery champagne shade. I particularly like all three and use them regularly. The yellow is a perfect shade to highlight under your eyes and set concealer while the shimmery shade is perfecting for highlighting the tops your cheek bones.
The contouring shades are the ones I'm quite unsure about. There's one more bronzy shade and two cooler toned shades for contouring cheek bones, etc. I quite like the bronzer colour as it's great for just adding that bit of colour into your face after applying foundation. The cooler shades I definitely don't love yet. I'm still trying to make them work (especially after how long it took me to get this) but right now they're just not cutting the mustard. I think they're a little too grey and a little too pigmented causing them to look very muddy on application. They can kind of work if you're very light-handed and tap off absolutely all the excess product but it involves way too much concentration for me (especially if I'm rushing in the morning before work!).
All up, I think this is a fantastic product for the price of $16.95 but I'm just really unsure about those two cooler toned shades. I absolutely love the other four shades and would even say it's worth picking up just for that!
Have you managed to pick this one up? What did you think of it?

DeleteThank you (:
I am still trying to pick this up! half the pricelines do not carry australis anymore! Im thinking straight to the source is the best idea?
ReplyDeleteIt's so ridiculously hard to find hey? I randomly found mine in a Priceline when I went away for a week so no where near home! A lot of Big W's carry Australis as well so check their too. Otherwise, definitely just go straight to the source. Might be the easiest way! Either way, good luck!! xx
